In The News!
Representatives of the Forward Wakefield Planning Committee, the Badger State Outboard Association, and the City of Wakefield met recently to discuss plans for the 2023 American Power Boat Association National Boat Races being sponsored by Lac Vieux Desert Northern Waters Casino Resort. The Event will be held on Sunday Lake in Wakefield from August 1 to August 5, 2023. This National race will be the 18th time since 1980 to take place on Sunday Lake and will have Stock, Modified, and Junior Outboard boats racing to be named the 1-US boat. This year, a Marathon boat exhibition race will
also be held.

Registration is open for all racing events on the website, including:
Mercury 20h will be run using the Using the 1987 SO Inspection Manual specs now published on our website.
The 15SSR Hotrod event will be run using Hot Rod “A” specs for 15 cubic inch engines.
