Marathon Survey Results You voted, and now we race it! The Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the winner of our special event marathon to be held at the end of championship racing! Our winning format is: Relay Marathon Runabout Team! Details Lemans Start or Clock Start – determined by amount of entries Team Definitions: Teams are comprised of one of each of the following – ASR, 15SSR, 25SSR, CSR, AND DSR. A slower class can be swapped in for a faster class in the event that a team cannot find another member. Example 1: ASR, ASR, 25SSR, CSR, AND DSR. Example 2: ASR, 15SSR, 25SSR, 25SSR, DSR. Not scored for any APBA points – purely fun! 4 Laps Each Relay style hand off for team member to go – either an object OR crossing a determined threshold Course will follow the outskirts of Sunday Lake and include MINIMALLY one right hand turn, if not two. “Winning” team is determined by time – whichever team has all members complete their 4 laps the quickest. Registration for the marathon event will be open on the BSOA Racing website on April 6, 2023 starting at 8pm EST. $40 per entry.

We are pleased to offer a Mercury 25xs Racing Engine prepared by Joey Z, and separately a Runnecraft racing boat for the class/category of the winners choice built by John Runne. Raffle Tickets for both are now available for sale through our website for $25 per ticket, or 5 for $100 (buy 4, get 1 free!)

2023 Wakefield Racing Registration

Racing Registration for the 2023 APBA Stock, Modified and Junior National Championships will open on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 8pm EST.

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  1. Online racing registration will open April 6, 2023 at 8pm EST and will remain open through July 16 at 9pm EST.

  2. Payment of $85 per class will be due upon submitting your racing entries, and you will be forwarded to our secure payment processor to complete your transaction.

  3. We are using a Paypal gateway to process payments but you do not need to create a Paypal account to pay. There is an option to proceed as a guest without creating an account.

  4. You will receive an email upon a successful submission and payment - please confirm your email address carefully. If you do not receive an email confirmation please contact us at support@bsoaracing.com with questions.

  5. In order to help the organizing committee fill in the necessary volunteer duties, you will be prompted to provide your choice of racing sets in which you can participate in volunteer activities. Every driver is required to select 2 sets and can volunteer for an optional 3rd set. Please confirm your classes from the racing schedule published on the website before beginning.

  6. Volunteer duties will be assigned by the organizing committee to help run an efficient racing program for all participants. It is the duty of each driver to know their assigned duty schedule and to arrive promptly before the start of the appropriate set. Failure to arrive for assigned duties will be grounds for review by the race committee and the issuance of yellow card(s).

  7. Online registration will close July 16, 2023 at 9p EST.

  8. Late entry will be available onsite at Wakefield but will incur a $50 late-payment fee PER CLASS. Late entries made to meet minimum boat counts for national awards will also incur the late-payment fee - no exceptions!

  9. Current class registration information will be made available on the BSOA Racing website, including category, class and driver name - please watch your classes for entry counts and remind your fellow drivers to register before July 16 to avoid a late-entry fee.

  10. An annual 2023 APBA racing membership in the entered category is required to compete in a national championship race. Drivers will be validated against membership rosters with the APBA National HQ.
